How much should I charge to prepare contracts for a Construction Company?
nik3nik asked:
I'm currently working for a Construction Company as an Administrative Assistant. Due to cut backs, my position will end next week. The company has asked me to come in on occasion to prepare contracts and change orders for them on a Subcontractor basis. How much should I charge to do this?

Since you know the ins and outs, you might consider a flat fee. Make it enough to compensate you for your time and effort.
Should you go hourly, I'd say , 1 and 1/2 times your former rate.(they are no longer paying you benefits)
Be fair-to them and yourself. Who knows, things may change and they may want you back when circumstances allow it.

I would charge them as much as you think they would be willing to pay. Shoot high and see what they say. But you should get at least 2 to 4 times what your previous hourly pay rate was, and even more if you can.
