How do you find about new construction/new subdivisions being built?

I am thinking about buying a new home. I heard that the best way to make money in new construction is to buy in phase1. Everywhere I look the homes are in Phase 8, 9, 10, 11 etc. Is there a way I can find out about these earlier?

Try keeping abreast of the building permit applications in your area. These are often available on line. Once you know the name of the developer you can probably get on an interest list and be notified of preview dates, reservations, and hard hat tours.

Check zoning permits for new housing construction permits. Call your zoning office to find out their procedure for making this information available to the public.
